Over the years I've spent quite a bit of time working on developing phonological awareness. I have always cobbled together a range of resources from 'Oxford Reading Tree', 'Phonological Awareness Procedure' as well as my own resources. It has met the need, but is rather time consuming when training other staff as each step needs to be explained. I was hoping that someone out there has some knowledge of an all singing all dancing phonological awareness programme. Would SALLEY fit the brief?

Absolutely. SALLEY was designed to meet such a need. The whole programme can be used in its entirety or you can dip in and out and use any of the sections that meet the needs of an individual child. You could for example give a child a set of activities that cover alliteration and work on one area.  SALLEY covers all the areas of phonological awareness and has activites that are graded in complexity as the programme unfolds. These include for example: syllable awareness, rhyming, and alliteration.
